Shinkansen

Today is the 50th anniversary of the Shinkansen after its start-up in business.
Ceremonies were held at terminal stations this morning.
The Shinkansen is known as a fast, and very safe transportaion in Japan.

And it's said that a cumulative total of 5.6 billion passengers have used Shinkansen, and the total mileage is approximately 2 billion kilometers which is equivalent to traveling 50000 times around the globe!
Amazing!
